As the lead singer of Lonestar, Richie McDonald made his debut on the Billboard country music charts in 1995 with the Top 10 single“Tequila Talkin’”. Since then, he has been the voice behind a total of twenty-seven singles on the country charts, with nine of those singles reaching Number One. The biggest hit was 1999’s “Amazed”, a crossover hit that reached Number One on both the country charts and the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first single to do so since Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s “Islands in the Stream” in 1983. some of the other number one singles the band had include “I’M ALREADY THERE”, “MR. I booked the PBS television series “Legends and Lyrics” and it was the highest rated show in the history of American Public Television, which distributes through PBS. We aired in over 140 markets and in 23 out of the top 25 markets in the United States.
