Todd Hutchison Owner/OperatorTodd’s career began over twenty years when he he first got involved in the music industry. He was in college at the University of Memphis, managing a rock band and organizing small benefits around Memphis, trying to make a difference. Little did he know that all these years later that it would eventually turn into his life’s passion and work. Why music? Simple. Music provides the sound track of our lives. Everyone can go back in time, remember experiences, and immediately put a song to it. When you hear that special song, it takes you back in time to that exact moment, whether it’s memories of an old flame, experiences from high school and college, the loss of a loved on, or other special moments. He decided to stay in the industry all these years later so he can be involved in people’s lives and special occasions. Whether it’s finding them the perfect band for their wedding, college fraternity/sorority party, high school prom or other special events,, being a Talent Buyer and producing great events allows him to do so.
Todd’s experiences in the music industry are varied but booking is his expertise. Starting on Beale Street in the early 90’s, he began marketing and promoting acts such as Cheap Trick, Lit, Salt and Pepa, Ozzy Osbourne, and others for the Red Ant/Polygram Label. He started buying headliners for fairs, festivals, corporate events, and night clubs in the late 90’s, early 2000’s. He helped start the Arkansas Music Pavilion (one of the premier amphitheaters in the U.S.) buying artists such as Earth Wind and Fire, One Republic, the Black Crowes, the All American Rejects, and others. He produced the Daly Day’s Event with golf star John Daly in Fayetteville, Arkansas, which featured Hootie and the Blowfish, and many other stars. Other career highlights include shows with Blake Shelton, Chris Young, Montgomery Gentry, Migos, Two Chainz, the Beach Boys, and Amy Grant. His booking experiences led him to appearing on the television series “Breakout: the Road to Stardom“, where he appeared alongside Jo Dee Messina, hit producer Trey Bruce, and “American Idol” finalist Carmen Rasmussen. Hutchison was hired to be the Talent Supervisor of the PBS television series “Legends and Lyrics“, which was the highest rated television show in the history of APT (American Public Television), airing in over 140 U.S. markets, including 24 of the top 25 markets. The show aired over 10,000 times from 2009-2014. He was responsible for many of the biggest stars appearances on the show including Amy Lee of Evanescence, Gavin Degraw, Randy Owen of Alabama, Kris Kristofferson, Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues, Roger McQuinn of the Byrds, Robert Cray, and many more.
