“Legends and Lyrics” owners recently released a statement giving fans an update about the show and information about the long awaited Season II.

“As a long overdue update to our wonderful fans and supporters, shortly after the airing of Season 1, our production company suffered a tragic set back. Creator, Director, and resident “Big Idea Dreamer”, Will Mitchell, was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s. As you might expect, following that, there were moments of uncertainty as to the future of our show. We here at Legends & Lyrics were all deeply impacted by this news, both personally and professionally. But as a testament to Will’s vision, love, and respect for the art of songwriting, we are happy to announce we are adding to our production team and hope to be back on the air in 2014 with our much anticipated Season 2. We appreciate all the fans of the series and hope you feel that it is worth the wait.

We will once again be broadcasting through American Public Television in Full HD. And in addition, we are being distributed by BBC Worldwide for international broadcast.

Star Dedication Open to the Public; starts at 3 pm

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (July 5, 2013) – KC and the Sunshine Band are set to be immortalized, tomorrow, Saturday, July 6, 2013, into the Palm Springs Walk of Stars as fellow entertainer and star recipient Barry Manilow will honor and present the group with the 357th star.

“I am truly thrilled and overjoyed that Barry would come be part of this ceremony,” says Harry Wayne Casey. “Our careers have crisscrossed for years and our friendship has always remained and I couldn’t think of anyone better to present us with this award than Barry.”

In addition, in celebration of the star dedication, Ruby’s Diner, located at 155 S. Pal Canyon Dr., will be offering two limited-time special items from their delicious menu starting today, Friday July 5 – Sunday July 7; the “Boogie Burger” and the “Shake, Shake, Shake” Shake. While See’s Candies will be creating a special commemorative wrapper for their popular Butterscotch Chews to be renamed for the day “Boogie Chews” and will highlight KC’s other favorite See’s item Sugar Free Peanut Brittle.

DARIUS RUCKER TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM TRUE BELIEVERS MAY 21

Nashville, Tenn. – Capitol Records Nashville recording artist Darius Rucker will release his third country studio album, True Believers, on May 21. Darius wrote ten of the twelve tracks on True Believers, produced by Frank Rogers, and the album features the Top 20-and-climbing critically-acclaimed single “Wagon Wheel” written by Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show, based on a sketch by Bob Dylan.

“I’m very proud of this record,” Rucker reveals. “The songs, the co-writes, the vibe – it’s all really different from what we’ve recorded and released on the past two albums, and I hope that difference resonates with the fans.”

Rogers, who also produced Learn To Live and Charleston, SC 1966, shares, “When we were recording True Believers, we had Darius record a lot of the vocals for this album in his hometown of Charleston. I think as a result of that relaxed setting he was more experimental vocally, and honestly, he sang better than ever before.”

Rucker’s first two country albums, Learn To Live and Charleston, SC 1966 both topped the Billboard Country album chart and produced five No. 1 singles including “Come Back Song,” “This,” “Alright,” “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” and “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It.”

In 2009 Rucker was named New Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards. Most recently, he achieved a personal goal and childhood dream when he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on October 16, 2012. Rucker will kick off his True Believers Tour on May 9 in Estero, Florida, visiting more than 20 cities across the U.S. before wrapping up in Clarkston, Michigan on June 30.

JASON ALDEAN TO PREMIERE STAR-STUDDED
VIDEO FOR “1994” EXCLUSIVELY ON
ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT

Nashville, TN – March 20, 2013 – ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee Jason Aldean is giving Entertainment Tonight the exclusive first look at the new video for his current Top 20 single “1994.” Entertainment Tonight will air a special behind the scenes look from the set of the video tonight and will debut the video in its entirety on www.etonline.com exclusively through the weekend. Entertainment Tonight airs on CBS.

Shot in Nashville just last week and directed by Wes Edwards, Aldean called on a few friends to make cameo appearances including Luke Bryan, Hayden Panettiere, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett. In the clip, each artist hops into the “Diffieizer” – an arcade-style video booth that is a throwback to the year 1994.

“It’s really cool that so many of my buddies agreed to come down and have a little fun with us…this is the kind of song where you just can’t take yourself too seriously,” said Aldean. “There are a lot of ridiculous dance moves, a couple mullets, some suped up cars and a lot of other really funny reminders of the mid-90’s…the whole thing cracks me up.”

“1994” is the third single off Aldean’s PLATINUM album NIGHT TRAIN. It follows seven consecutive No. one songs for Aldean and 11 career No. ones.

WIDESPREAD PANIC RETURNS FROM HIATUS WITH
SPRING TOUR DATES

Widespread Panic will play two nights at The Woods At Fontanel on May 3rd & 4th as part of their long-awaited 2013 Spring Tour. The tour marks the first time the legendary sextet will return to the US stage after an almost year long hiatus.

Widespread Panic is known as a national touring force and holds attendance records at major venues across the country including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA. They have remained in Pollstar’s Top 50 Tours of the Year for the past decade and have headlined most major festivals in the US including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Outside Lands, and more.
