THOMAS RHETT SCORES EIGHTH NO. ONE WITH “CRAVING YOU,” THE FASTEST-RISING SONG OF HIS CAREER PEAKING IN JUST 15 WEEKS
Only Half-way Through the Year, Thomas Rhett’s “Driving, Sexy” (Rolling Stone) Hit Marks Second Chart-Topper of 2017
Nashville, TN – July 10, 2017 – ACM Awards Male Vocalist of the Year Thomas Rhett’s “bold” (GQ) single “Craving You” feat. Maren Morris hit No. One today on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts, sky-rocketing to the top in just 15 weeks as the fastest-rising song of his career so far. The single marks Thomas Rhett’s second No. One this year and the eighth of his career. “Craving You” is the lead single from Thomas Rhett’s highly-anticipated upcoming third release, due out later this year.
“I heard this song went No. one this morning while I was on vacation with my family,” said Thomas Rhett. “It just reminded me how everything about this song has been fun. From having Maren sing on it, to making a really rad video to just feeling the energy from the fans each night when we play it live. It’s an unbelievable way to start out this record…I really can’t wait to share more.”
Thomas Rhett continues his “lively” (Tennessean) HOME TEAM TOUR, “one of the best Country concerts of the year” (Peoria Journal Star). After drawing capacity crowds overseas last year, he returns as a “force to be reckoned with” (Daily Star) with plans to return to Europe while also making his debut headlining run in Canada in addition to US dates. CHASE RICE ROARS ACROSS THE U.S. WITH LAMBS AND LIONS TOUR
Rice Set to Release Lambs & Lions Later This Year With New Label Partner
BBR Music Group / BMG
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Chase Rice knows who he is as artist; and who he’s not. And he is set to release a new album, Lambs & Lions, with a new label partner BBR Music Group/BMG, and kick off a coast-to-coast “Lambs and Lions Tour” that strikes at the heart of what the industry outlier believes about reaching fans and making music that reflects more than the just the bravado that garnered the North Carolina native national acclaim.
With the confidence that comes from writing and playing from a deeper emotional well, Rice is launching the “Lambs and Lions Tour” in Boone, N.C. at Appalachian State University. It ends two continents, three countries, six months, five support acts and 30 tour dates later at Atlanta’s Buckhead Theatre. In between, he is playing gritty clubs, festivals, arenas, and some of the most revered music venues in the country. Unapologetic and fiercely independent, Rice is clearly comfortable in his own skin and on any stage.
As stated in an article by Marissa Moss in Rolling Stone, his current musical path “is a chance for him to move past bro-dom, experiment with new sounds and textures, and discuss much more than just the party. It’s about finding faith in relationships and learning how to persevere when things get a little tough, and is also an emotional dip into the world of an artist who, like many of his peers, was dismissed before he could reach a lot deeper.”
Rice has been one of country music’s most exciting figures since arriving in Nashville. He co-wrote Florida Georgia Line’s megahit Diamond certified “Cruise” and his 2014 major label debut album,Ignite the Night, opened at No. 1 and yielded two Top 5 hits with “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight,” in addition to more than 900,000 in album sales. Rice initially released “Ready Set Roll” through his own Dack Janiels label and later partnered with Columbia Nashville for a wider release, though he never gave up control of his music to sign a long-term deal.
He signed with BBR Music Group because of the label’s proven track record of fostering an independent spirit while still helping deliver hits for its acts including Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch, Randy Houser, and Granger Smith, all artists who began as independents and continue to chart their own paths with millions of songs and albums sold.
The 31-year-old singer-songwriter has had eclectic life for inspiration, playing football at the University of North Carolina, serving as a NASCAR pit crew member, even a role on a season ofSurvivor, all before finding success as a singer/songwriter/entertainer. His unrivaled live show has led to numerous sold out tours, a slot performing on Kenny Chesney’s stadium tour stops in 2015, and to ESPN’s Marty Smith noting in that sense, “Rice is an anomaly.”

Walker Hayes available for fall college bookings!
Singer/Songwriter and Monument recording artist Walker Hayes is top 5 most added at Country radio today with his reactive, new single “You Broke Up With Me.” The song is “already making waves with fans” (The Boot) with over 60,000 tracks downloaded and streaming figures surpassing 10 million. His fresh style differentiates him from others as he continues “writing super specific conversational autobiographical songs and delivering them in a way that feels intimate,” shares NPR World Café’s Jewly Hight. Hayes co-wrote the single with Thomas Archer and Kylie Sackley, and GRAMMY Award winning producer/songwriter, Shane McAnally, produced it.
“I can’t describe how pumped we are to be giving ‘You Broke Up With Me’ to Country radio. The early support we’ve received on this song is ridiculous,” says Hayes. “I’m so humbled by the early love we’ve gotten from so many stations and their fans. I can say this now: this whole journey has just been incredible.”
Hayes, named one of Rolling Stone’s 2017’s “County Artists to Watch”, CMT’s “New Artists You Need to Know and Pandora’s “Country Artists to Watch,” didn’t come by this success overnight or easily; his steadfast perseverance for the last decade has all led to this moment. Hayes reveals what fueled that drive in a personal video address,
TIT’S THE PERFECT TIME FOR YOU TO BOOK WALKER HAYES FOR YOUR FAIR, FESTIVAL, OR FRATERNITY PARTY WHILE HIS SINGLE IS GOING UP THE CHART. IT WILL GO #1 By SEPTEMBER AND HIS PRICE WILL DOUBLE.
DARIUS RUCKER: 2 CAREERS, MULTIPLE GRAMMY WINS + 8 #1’S AND STILL EXPERIENCING THINGS “FOR THE FIRST TIME”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – When his voice first graced radio airwaves it led to GQ Magazinenaming him one of their Men of the Year noting “we catch ourselves humming his melodies on the subway … only then do we realize that his name … is no longer just a proper noun. It’s a symbol now.” With such an illustrious, groundbreaking and symbolic career, Darius Rucker is constantly reinventing and striving for ways fans can have new experiences at his shows, however in doing so it had a surprising outcome that left him asking, “when was the last time I did something for the first time?” That simple question led to his latest release, a song he wrote with Derek George and Travis Hill, “For The First Time,” available today and impacting Country radio on Monday, July 24.
“As a songwriter, sometimes the smallest idea can elicit a feeling and then you have this daunting task of trying to relay that emotion and energy into a three-minute song,” shares the man the Associated Press says “shows he can leave a distinctive mark on 21st-century country music.” “When we wrote ‘For The First Time,’ we each had to dig deep for that moment – for me it was ‘you say you’ve never danced to a dashboard singin’ REM under summer stars.’ After that it was all over.”
“For The First Time” is the follow-up to his most recent No. 1 single, “If I Told You,” the first off his long-awaited as-yet-untitled fifth Capitol Records Nashville album, slated for release later this year with Producer Ross Copperman at the helm. It will be yet another signature moment in the multiplatinum career of one of music’s most beloved figures. Rucker has never been busier while working on his new album with a slate of television appearances this spring and summer including a CMT Crossroads episode with John Mellencamp, an appearance in Adam Sandler’s Netflix original, Sandy Wexler, and his own episode of Celebrity Undercover Boss on CBS.

About Darius Rucker
Rucker first attained multi-Platinum status in the music industry as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of GRAMMY award-winning Hootie & the Blowfish. Since re-introducing himself to the world as a country artist, he has released four consecutive albums to top the Billboard Country albums chart and earned a whole new legion of fans. In 2014, Rucker won his third career GRAMMY award for Best Solo Country Performance for his 4x Platinum selling cover of Old Crow Medicine Show’s “Wagon Wheel,” off his album, True Believers. Rucker’s first two country albums, Learn To Live and Charleston, SC 1966 produced five No. 1 singles including “Come Back Song,” “This,” “Alright,” “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” and “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It.” Southern Style, his fourth studio country album, features his seventh No. 1 single “Homegrown Honey,” co-written by Rucker, label mate Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum and Nathan Chapman. Rucker’s last single, “If I Told You,” is his eighth No. 1 on country radio and the first cut from his forthcoming fifth album for Capitol Nashville.

Kenny Rogers Tribute Concert Will Feature His Final Performance With Dolly Parton
Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton will perform together onstage one last time during an Oct. 25 concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
“All In for the Gambler: Kenny Rogers’ Farewell Concert Celebration,” a one-night-only tribute, will honor the Country Music Hall of Fame member and the significant impact of his 60-year career.
Other performers will include Jamey Johnson, Alison Krauss, Little Big Town, the Flaming Lips, Elle King and Idina Menzel. Talent additions will be announced in the coming weeks.
“As I’m bringing this chapter of my career to a close, this will be an unforgettable way to celebrate with my talented friends, who I’m so grateful to have crossed paths with,” Rogers said in announcing the event. “It means so much that they would feel compelled to do this for me.
“Of course, the night would not be the same without Dolly Parton being part of it. We’ve enjoyed a special friendship for decades, and I’ll forever look back fondly on the many collaborations, performances and laughs we’ve shared as some of the most extraordinary moments of my career. I know it will be a moving experience for us standing on that stage together for one last time.”
“Kenny is like a family member to me,” Parton added. “We have been friends for over 30 years and made musical magic together. Since 1983, when we released ‘Islands in the Stream,’ everyone has had an expectation to see Kenny everywhere I go — and me with him wherever he goes. Well, I guess for many of those fans that wanted to see us together, this will be that night.”
Grammy winner Don Was will serve the music director and will lead an all-star house band for the concert special which will be taped for multi-platform distribution.
Tickets go on sale Friday (July 21) at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster. A portion of the proceeds will support the T.J. Martell Foundation and the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center.
Rogers’ farewell tour continues throughout July with appearances in Nevada and California.
The Song’s the Thing at Celebration for Brett Young’s “In Case You Didn’t Know” Singer’s Co-Writers Trent Tomlinson, Tyler Reeve, Kyle Schlienger Share the Glory
It turned out to be all about the song Monday afternoon (July 17) when a throng of music bizzers gathered at FGL House in downtown Nashville to toast the writers of Brett Young’s latest hit, “In Case You Didn’t Know.”
The writers — Young, Trent Tomlinson, Tyler Reeve and Kyle Schlienger — were all on hand for the festivities, but it was the song’s reassuring message and chart longevity that elicited most of the praise.
“In Case You Didn’t Know” held the No. 1 niche for two week on Billboard‘s country airplay chart and was the first Billboard No. 1 for all four writers.
In a video chronicling the making of the song, shown before the No. 1 plaques were presented, Young predicted, “If we end up doing this right, it can be people’s wedding song for a long time.”
Music publisher Mike Molinar asserted, “It will be in the all-time pantheon of country love songs.”
“In Case” producer Dann Huff, who’s helmed dozens of other No. 1 singles, said, “This song makes me think of my wife, Sherri. We’ve been together since we were teens.”
Floating on a wistfully engaging melody, the lyrics purr, “Even though I don’t tell you all the time/You had my heart a long, long time ago/In case you didn’t know.”
The song was written in 2015 during a working trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Young’s record label paid for.
“Could we have had more fun doing it?” Young asked rhetorically in recalling the trip’s payoff. “Nope.”
Scoring a No. 1 was the culmination of years of effort Tomlinson and Reeve, who have been members of BMI, the performance rights organization, for 20 and 10 years each, respectively.
And it was an equally big deal for Schlienger, who serves as Young’s music director and band leader. “That trip to Mexico changed my life completely,” he said.
The ever-whimsical Molinar praised the four songwriters for being able to express emotions that lesser mortals have but can’t put into words.
“If it weren’t for guys like you,” he said, “I couldn’t tell [my boss] Scott Borchetta how I feel about him.”
Borchetta heads both Young’s label and publishing company.
